Women's Care and NaProTECHNOLOGY
St. Gianna Clinic now offers a complete range of women’s care services and treatments, including Natural Procreative Technology, or NaProTECHNOLOGY.
“I believe women deserve dignified, moral and ethical health care. By diagnosing and treating the underlying disease that causes gynecologic and reproductive health conditions, women can improve their overall health and wellness. As a Catholic, pro-life physician, I address gynecologic and reproductive health conditions while incorporating and following the teachings of the Catholic Church, which emphasizes that life begins at conception and lasts until natural death.”
Dr. Melissa Weidert, obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN doctor), provides medical care for women of all ages. She is knowledgeable in natural family planning and provides medical and surgical NaProTECHNOLOGY treatment. Dr. Weidert is one of 20 physicians in the country to be medically and surgically fellowship-trained in NaProTECHNOLOGY from Pope Paul VI Institute in Omaha, Neb. She completed medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and residency at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.

What is NaProTECHNOLOGY?
NaProTECHNOLOGY is a medical and surgical technique used to treat the direct source of various gynecologic and reproductive health conditions including infertility, PMS, menstrual cramps, ovarian cysts, polycystic ovarian disease, endometriosis, repetitive miscarriages, postpartum depression and hormonal abnormalities.
Before medical or surgical NaProTECHNOLOGY treatment is provided, Dr. Weidert uses the Creighton Model FertilityCare System to diagnose the specific health condition. This is a natural approach to diagnosis in which the physician and patient work together to track biomarkers and monitor the occurrence of various hormonal events during the patient’s menstrual cycle.
