Visits from family and friends may be helpful to you, so we encourage guests. However, we ask that they follow these guidelines while they’re visiting:
Guests may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments, or when the doctor or nurse needs to see you.
Thank you for your cooperation! Additional visitor information is below.
Ample free parking is available at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center. Please park in the areas marked Visitor Parking. For our patients’ comfort and convenience, valet parking is available Monday-Friday at the main entrance.
Accommodations for relatives and visitors from out-of-town are available at nearby motels. The Altrusa Club of Green Bay operates a guest home for patients and family members. Accommodations are based on financial need. To find out if you qualify, please contact a case manager or Pastoral Care at (920) 498-4282.
A nurturing environment is important to health and healing. When a loved one is in the hospital, family members and friends can provide important support during the hospital stay and after the return home. We find that when family or friends are active in a patient’s care, recovery is faster and the return home is easier.
HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center Partners in Caring Program offers this support. Patients, who could benefit from this program, are encouraged to select one individual who will be their Partner in Caring. This person will receive a badge that identifies him/her as a Partner in Caring for the length of the patient’s stay. If you are interested in this program, please ask your nurse.
Specially designed lounge areas for visitors are located on patient floors and on the main floor in the lobby. Waiting areas are available for families in the critical care unit, the Emergency Department, Family Birthing Center, and Surgery.
Complimentary food and drink items are offered in the Surgery waiting area and coffee is available on most patient care floors.
The Chapel is located near the hospital’s main entrance and the welcoming atrium on the first floor.
Mass times are posted outside of the Chapel. People of all faiths are welcome to our Chapel as a place for prayer and quiet reflection. The chapel is a gift we treasure, and we are pleased to share it with you. It symbolizes our belief that in all things God is present.
The Gift Shop is located on the first floor next to the Lobby. Shop gift items, jewelry, magazines, greeting cards, candy, flowers and plants. Stop by to visit the art exhibit of our monthly featured artist.
Flowers, Balloons and Newspapers
Florists deliver flowers directly to the hospital. For infection control reasons, flowers and metallic-coated balloons are not allowed in Intensive Care Units. The materials in the metallic‑coated balloons can cause static electricity and pose potential risks to the patient. For the safety of our patients and guests with latex allergy, we also ask that you do not bring latex balloons.
HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center includes 22,000 square feet of rooftop gardens as well as 2,400 square feet of ground level Healing Gardens. Healing Gardens are for quiet contemplation for patients, families and visitors. They include water features, heated walking paths and outdoor seating. To get to the rooftop garden take the atrium elevators to the third floor.
